A community safeguard built into the platform itself: where a man is more than seven years older than a woman, the pair is blocked outright. Not down-ranked — blocked. They never appear in each other's matches, search results or AI suggestions, and no interest, contact view, shortlist, profile view or message can pass between them. It is enforced on our servers, not just in the app, so it holds in both directions.
Photos cannot be screenshotted

Screen capture and screen recording are blocked throughout the Android app. A member browsing profiles cannot save, screenshot or record another family's photographs — the single concern we hear most often from families of daughters.

Hide your profile
Turn your profile off from browsing entirely, any time, without losing a thing. Turn it back on when you are ready.
Contact privacy
Keep your phone number invisible to everyone except the people whose interest you have accepted. Until then, profiles show only “details on request”.
Who can send interest
Set the rules for who may approach you — by age, income, assets, financial standing, occupation, marital status and horoscope. Anyone outside them simply cannot write to you.
Blocking works both ways
Block someone and you disappear from each other's feeds, search, matches and chat — in both directions. Manage everyone you have blocked, and unblock in one tap.
Report a profile
Report a fake profile, harassment, inappropriate content or wrong information in a few taps, with room to explain. Reports reach our team directly.
Only accepted matches can chat
Messaging opens after an interest is accepted by both sides — no unsolicited approaches from strangers.

Phone verification
Every member signs up through a one-time password sent to their mobile number. Verified numbers carry a tick.
Community certificate
Members can upload proof of Kongu Vellala Gounder community, so families know who they are talking to.

What is the 7-year age-gap rule?
Where a man is more than seven years older than a woman, Kongu Kalyanam blocks the pair completely. They never appear in each other's matches, search or AI suggestions, and no interest, contact view, shortlist, profile view or message can pass between them. It is enforced on our servers in both directions.
Can other members screenshot my photos?
No. Screen capture and screen recording are blocked throughout the Android app, so profile photographs cannot be saved, screenshotted or recorded.
Who can see my phone number?
Only the members whose interest you have accepted, if you have contact privacy switched on. Everyone else sees “details on request”. Premium members spend a contact-reveal from their plan to unlock a number, and you can always see who has viewed your contact.
Can I hide my profile without deleting it?
Yes. Settings → Privacy → Profile visibility. Your data stays exactly as it is and you can switch it back on whenever you like.
How do I stop unsuitable people contacting me?
Use “Who can send interest” to set rules on age, income, assets, financial standing, occupation, marital status and horoscope. Anyone who falls outside them cannot send you an interest at all.
What happens when I block someone?
Blocking is bidirectional and immediate: you vanish from each other's feeds, search results, matches and chat. You can review everyone you have blocked in Settings and unblock in one tap.
